5 Keys to Planning a Successful Day (Free bonus guide & video!!)
As a mom of four young kids (almost five), I am so often left wondering where my time goes. It’s really really easy to get to the end of a long day, in which I never stopped going and moving, and feel like I never got much of anything done.
Sure I was busy. I ran from task to task. But in the end, it feels like I was just managing the chaos instead of accomplishing much of anything.
Don’t get me wrong, this all kind of comes with the territory. Being a mom, especially of four little rambunctious boys, means that my day and my time needs to be flexible to mold around their needs and teaching their little hearts.
But what I don’t want to do, is spend all of my time running between the stove, the dishwasher, and the changing table all day and left wondering what I got done that day. Or if any of it has any significance.
I want to carve out time to do my Bible Reading.
To spend quality time in prayer with the Lord.
To take 15 minutes to read a book with my boys.
To sit and snuggle on the cough.
To go through a course or book to invest in MYSELF or my homemaking.
To take 5 minutes and write a quick love note to stick in my husband’s lunch.
To spend time and energy on the things that matter most: The Lord & My Family!
Yes, the cooking and the cleaning need to get done. We can’t sit around all day ignoring our home or not feeding our family. But what my soul so desperately craves from day to day – is balance!
Balance is the KEY
The more I invest in my homemaking skills and the more I grow as a Christian; The more I’ve come to realize that the key to a joyful and peaceful home starts with BALANCE.
As homemakers, we juggle about a thousand (maybe more?) things a day and if our focus gets off the real priorities then we quickly get swallowed in the chaos. This is what leads us to wondering where all of our time goes even when we stay busy ALL.THE.TIME.
Can you identify with this at all? Then I want to invite you to download my free guide and bonus training video: 5 Keys to Planning a Successful Day. Watch my quick sneak peek:
This means I can carve out a few minutes each day to read God’s Word, to pray, to work on building my relationship with Jason, to love on and instruct my children…
A successful day doesn’t mean we do it ALL but rather that we more intentionally use the time that we do have…for God’s Glory. And that’s what leads us to greater peace, joy, and love in our home.
