Now that I’m a mother to four littles, foster care and adoption are near and dear to my heart. And unfortunately, in our country and around the globe, there are so many kids without families.

When I hear stories of kids growing up in the foster care system or living in orphanages their entire childhood (especially when they have been mis-treated), it breaks my heart. Especially when you consider how many families are hoping and praying to adopt. I personally know several families who would love to adopt but the process is so long, difficult, and expensive that its just not happening.

I would love to be able to support families in my community in the adoption process – and around the world!

Do you have a dream? Or a cause that you are passionate about?

So here’s the cool thing – four people are going to get the chance to make an impact in their community – for the cause that they are passionate about – thanks to the Create the Good Dream Builder Video Contest.

Sometimes, as a homemaker and a stay-at-home-mom, I feel like I don’t have that much impact in my community. I’m home all day, taking care of my kids (which I’m thankful for). But what if there was a way that I could have an impact – from within my home?

One of my big financial dreams for our life, is that we would be able to give generously. I would love to have the funds to be able to bless families by meeting their financial needs so they could welcome orphaned kids into their homes.

Jason and I have talked before about how incredible that opportunity would be and it’s something that we prayerfully consider as we plan our future.

But how cool would it be to enter this video content and win $2500 to jumpstart the dream or idea that you have and donate to the non-profit of your choice? When I think about the impact that could start to have, it makes me so excited!

By searching on their website, it actually helped connect me with CASA which is Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children. They are looking for volunteers to help become advocates for children in the foster care system that wouldn’t otherwise have a voice. What an incredible way to serve!
