The recipes I’ll be cooking this year (along with 4 week meal plans)!
If you’ve been following along this week, you have probably seen this awesome recipe bundle that’s on sale until Friday January 5th. I shared about it over the weekend and I’ve been really excited about it.
But here’s the thing, I’ve had my bundle now for a while and I’ve had the time to slowly sift through the cookbooks and start looking through the recipes…but I also know that not all recipes are created equal LOL! Amiright?!?
I don’t know how many frustrating hours I’ve wasted on Pinterest, clicking through a dozen websites just to find the original recipe I was looking for. Once there, I sometimes find out that the recipe doesn’t look that good, has gross ingredients, or I make it only to figure out that it’s a total FLOP!
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve found some amazing recipes online before. But the hours I spend looking for new ones is hard (plus I can never remember where I found them)!
One of my big goals for 2018 is to get back on track with my meal planning and a huge part of that is refreshing my recipes. I’m seriously sick of making the same few things over and over! So that’s where this recipe bundle comes into play.
Today I want to show you a really good peak into the bundle. Because I know that recipes can vary so widely and we all have such different tastes, I thought I would share a peek inside these cookbooks and which ones I’m really excited about so you can decide for yourself if they would work for you.
But first, let me quickly explain the details:
Healthy Meal Planning Bundle
This bundle of eCookbooks (from the creators of the homemaking bundles) has put together a very unique bundle! They’ve never done one like this and I’m a big fan! This “bundle” of cookbooks is actually made up of several smaller bundles that all revolve around different recipe themes. Find out more about the Healthy Meal Planning Bundle here!
The idea is that you can choose just one mini bundle, or purchase all 10 categories for a super low price (I got the pack with all 10 categories of course)!
The catch is though, that the bundle is only on sale until January 5th! So you don’t have much time.
The 10 categories to choose from are (or choose the option to get all 10, it’s muuuuch cheaper). The bolded ones are the ones I’m the most excited about:
- Quick & Healthy
- Gluten-Free
- Budget Meals
- Freezer & Batch Cooking
- Vegan
- Ketogenic
- Slow Cooker and Instant Pot
- Paleo
- Real Food
- Meal Planning How-Tos
So I’m gonna highlight a few sections/recipes that I am going to work through first!
Budget Meals Cookbooks
Honestly, this entire section appeals to me. I plan to spend a lot of time in these cookbooks! I am not going to list all the recipes in this section, but these four are the ones I’m most excited about (out of the 10 cookbooks in this section!)
The 4 week Costco meal plan is very exciting to me!! It includes 4 weeks worth of meal plans and recipes from Costco for less than $475! I can’t wait to dig through these and add in more bean and soup recipes!
Batch & Freezer Cooking Cookbooks
One of my goals for a healthier kitchen this year is to just get my booty in the kitchen more and cook! But I think a big part of the success of this for me will be batch cooking more. I LOVE doing batch cooking and freezer a lot of it for later – but I’ve gotten out of the habit!
I’m looking forward to the ideas and recipes that are in the 12 cookbooks that are in this category. The one I most want to dig into is Batch from Scratch! I’m starting to do large baking days so I’m excited to see what tips and recipes she has.
Instant Pot & Slow Cooker Cookbooks!
My slow cooker has been my saving grace in the kitchen for the last 9 years. But last year, I also added the Instant pot to my kitchen and now regularly use both! One of the things I LOVE about my crockpot is that I can just dump, turn on, and come back to eat!
But not all crockpot recipes are good, right? Some can come out so bland and so boring! So I’m excited to mix up my crockpot recipes and try out my instant pot a little more.
The first book here is very cool! It’s a freezer meal boot camp and the bundle actually contains volumes #1 and #2!! And we don’t ahve Aldi stores around here, but I’m totally trying out the 20 slow cooker dump meals (I NEED more of these)!
4 Week Meal Plans ?
Okay here’s the hook-line-and sinker: Each of the 10 categories I listed above (crockpot, budget meals, real food, etc) comes with it’s own 4 week meal plan put together by the Ultimate Bundles team!
They had someone go through all of the cookbooks in each section and put together a 4 week meal plan with recipe name, cookbook, and page numer attached. So you can purchase the bundle (or any of the mini-bundles) and have a 4 week meal plan already mapped out for each category!!
Want a peek into what this looks like? I’m really excited about this…
Here’s an example of the budget meals meal plan. The second page you see is the meal plan for week one. You can see that breakfast, lunch, and dinner is planned out as well as snack and dessert options. Each recipe has a name, a cookbook name, and a page number! It’s so easy!
But wait, it gets better 😉 The next page is a detailed shopping list for those recipes!! I can’t believe how easy they’ve made this. And you get one of these for each category! I already have 5 of them I want to go through (YOU GUYS – that’s 20 WEEKS worth of meal planning already done for me)!
Check out the bundle:
I don’t think I’ve been this excited for an eBook bundle in a long long time. I think I am going to reference this and use it aproximately 2.5 million times this year!! Find out more about the Healthy Meal Planning Bundle here!
The idea behind this bundle is that you can purchase only what you need! So you can purchase just one of the categories or purchase all 10 categories for a super low price (I got the pack with all 10 categories of course)!
The catch is though, that the bundle is only on sale until January 5th! So you don’t have much time.
