Crockpot Apple Sauce {Autumn Favorites}
It has been so fun celebrating Fall here with Autumn favorites all month long! We had some fabulously cool weather last week, and it even sprinkled once! But it’s back up in the 80’s again this week.
But I’m making it Fall in my house this week with some delicious crockpot apple sauce. It’s so simple and easy. Throw just 4 ingredients in the crockpot, turn it on, and then enjoy your fresh, yummy, and healthy apple sauce.
My husband normally isn’t much of an apple sauce fan, but he requests this homemade apple sauce all the time! I can’t wait to make this unprocessed snack for my little boys.

Crockpot Apple Sauce
Ingredients:
10 medium apples (I also threw in 2 pears since I had them in the fridge. They tasted great!)
1 tsp fresh lemon
5 tsp brown sugar (you could probably get away with less if you want to keep it low sugar)
1 cinnamon stick
Directions:
1. Peel, core, and chop up the apples into pieces
2. Add all ingredients into the crockpot
3. Turn the crockpot on low and cook for 6 hours. You can stir the apples every few hours to mix.
4. Remove the cinnamon stick. The apples will still be chunky. You can use a fork and mash it up a bit to make a chunkier applesauce, or throw it in a blender for a few seconds.

I love making a lot of this when apples are fresh and in season! Enjoy 🙂
