Home Decor Designed with the Gospel in Mind
This week I featured dozens of my hand-picked favorite Christmas presents for Homemaker’s in my 2013 edition of the Homemaker’s Christmas Guide. In it, I featured one of my favorite home decor stores, Carpentree Wall Decor & Gifts and I wanted to share more about why I love them {and to offer you the chance to win 2 of their items}!
A part of orienting my home around the Gospel is decorating and designing it in a way that reminds my family of the Gospel each time they turn around. I think decorating can be for God’s Glory and so I’m always excited when I find a company that shares that same commitment.
Home Decor Designed with the Gospel in Mind
Growing up, my Dad had the Footprints in the Sand painting hanging in our house. I remember being a kid and reading that precious poem over and over again, knowing that Christ would carry me through the tough times.
I first memorized the beatitudes and the Lord’s prayer because I had them hanging in my childhood room.
As my children get older and over the years as we invite new families and individuals into our home, I want our home to reflect the Gospel. Is it possible to reflect the Gospel in your home without a single painting or home decor item in the house? Of course.
The Gospel should emanate from how we treat each other within our family and how we love and treat our neighbor. Our actions and our words should reflect Christ, that is the important part of having our homes be the launching off point for the Gospel.
But…having God’s Word around our home, as a constant reminder to our family and friends and as a beacon to those we invite into our home, can have a powerful impact.
Intentional Home Decor
As someone who has a passion for hospitality, I enjoy finding new things to help extend that hospitality and share the Gospel at the same time. I love having this bold statement hanging in our living room as the first thing you see upon entering our house, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Carpentree Wall Decor and Gifts helps you to be intentional in your home decor and allows you to bring the Gospel to your walls and to those you meet. And just in time for Christmas, Carpentree can help you fill your home with Gospel Centered home decor and to give the best, most intentional Christmas presents! Here are a few of my favorite present ideas:
Just in Time for Christmas
Something that I love about Carpentree Home Decor is their affordable prices! For example, their line of cell phone cases {which are adorable} are only $19.99! I can think of a few people on my shopping list who would love a new cell phone case with Scripture on it.
And this week they have two very special offers going on. Both of these would make beautiful Christmas presents {or forward this on to your hubby as a hint for yourself}!
Also, as a special discount to all my readers, you can get 15% off your order by using coupon code: YWG-15. You can take advantage of the discount now through December 31st, 2013.
A Special Giveaway
I am excited to be giving away 1 of each of the specials above. One lucky winner will get The Lord’s Blessing wall art and another lucky winner will get the Faith, Hope, and Love Sign! Enter to win via the rafflecoptor form below.
