My Spiritual Disciplines Notebook FAQ’s
On Monday, I released one of my favorite things of ALL TIME! I got the idea about two years ago to create a Spiritual Disciplines Notebook and it finally all came together in the last few months.

What is a Traveler’s Notebook?
I had never even heard this term until about 2 years ago. A traveler’s notebook (or a TN for short) is basically a leather or fabric cover that has bands inside. You then slip little notebooks into those bands and you can hold 4-8 notebooks inside each cover.
What this does is allows you to house a bunch of different notebooks all in one spot. It has given me the customization and the room to write in all my different subjects that I’ve been waiting for. I’ve tried a bunch of different systems and none of them have worked very well until I found this method. I’m hooked!

How to Print and Assemble the Notebooks
I thought this step was a little tricky to figure out when I was first introduced to the idea of Traveler’s Notebooks. But once you do it once, it’s not that big of deal!
When you purchase the SD notebooks, you get access to the full tutorial along with additional links. But I’ve had so many of you wanting to know beforehand what the process was like, that I went ahead and make this into a tutorial video for YouTube. So you can watch this below or you will get access to the individual video clips with your notebooks when you purchase so you don’t have to come back to this.
What Size Traveler’s Notebooks?
This is the most common question I get. Why? Because there are about a million different sizes of traveler’s notebooks. It can be really confusing if you don’t know the correct size.
The size of TN that these inserts fit is a standard size. That’s what its normally called. But you might find a different company that has different names for their sizes (think Starbucks calling their medium a “Grande”). So the approximate dimensions you are looking for are: 5.75″x8.75″ and the inserts themselves are approximately 4.25″x8.25″ depending on how you cut them.
My TN only has 4 bands, how do you fit 5 notebooks?
Most of the TN’s only come stock with 4 bands. You CAN buy additional elastic to thread through and make bands (there are a ton of YouTube videos out there to show you how to do it). But I always make do with 4 bands.
All you have to do is “layer” one of your notebooks on top of another. So you are using one band for two notebooks. See my photos below for how to do it.
Where do you get the TN’s from?
I gave you a bunch of links to all my favorite places to buy TN’s that are the correct size for my inserts, but I realize that many of you may want to look into that beforehand. So here are all of my favorites:
Webster’s Pages
I really like these ones for several reasons. 1) They tend to be very affordable. All of my Webster’s Pages ones I was able to find on sale for between $15-22. But even paying full price of $30 isn’t bad! 2) They contain 4 bands so you don’t have to buy extra. 3) They include a pen loop so you don’t have to pay extra. And 4) They are super durable and last forever! My favorite store to buy them from is Blitsy, if you watch, you can often find good deals (which is how I got mine for so low).

You can also find them for various prices on Amazon! This is a good option if you are looking for a specific print that is out of stock on Blitsy.
My Prima Planner
This is the other brand of TN’s that I own. I have the Jet Setter print and it’s beautiful! The “leather” on these is a little stiffer. Overall I like the feel of the Webster’s Pages a little better, but these ones are a great option. But be careful: Prima has TN’s of different sizes. So make sure to check that they are standard size. The ones below are all standard size.

- If you are looking for a similar notebook to the one I share in the videos, this one might be a great option. The one I have is Webster’s Pages but it’s an older version.

Carpe Diem Planners
Another brand I have considered in the past are the Carpe Diem line (you can sometimes find these at Joanne’s stores). They are a little wider I believe than the standard size, but they should fit just fine.
